New VR games, trailers, and release dates were announced during the Playstation Showcase. Here you can find all the news at a glance.

Resident Evil 4 VR Mode

The best news first: The upcoming VR mode will bring the entire story of the remake to VR.

Instead of looking over Leon’s shoulder, you’ll experience the story from a more immersive first-person perspective, and instead of pressing buttons, you’ll wield Leon’s knife with your own hands. The same goes for the rest of the arsenal. A trailer gives us a first look at the gameplay.

The VR mode is still in development and will be released exclusively for the Playstation VR 2, but Capcom has not announced when exactly.

Beat Saber

The VR superhit is now available for Playstation VR 2 and comes with a new music pack that includes the following eleven songs from the cult band:

  • Another One Bites the Dust
  • bohemian rhapsody
  • Crazy Little Thing Called Love
  • Don’t Stop Me Now
  • I Want It All
  • Killer Queen
  • OneVision
  • Somebody to Love
  • Stone Cold Crazy
  • We Are The Champions
  • We Will Rock You

The music pack will also be released for other VR platforms where Beat Saber is available.

Those who have already purchased Beat Saber for Playstation VR will receive the PSVR 2 upgrade for free. Purchased DLC will also be transferred for free.

Arizona Sunshine 2

Newly announced is the sequel to the VR classic Arizona Sunshine, which will once again pit you against hordes of zombies. This time with Buddy the dog at your side.

Arizona Sunshine will be released later this year. It has been announced for Playstation VR 2 and PC VR headsets.

Synapse

The new VR game from nDreams (Phantom: Covert Ops, Fracked) was already announced. In this action spectacle, you fight with both hands: With one hand you throw enemies through the air thanks to telekinetic superpowers, with the other you fire weapons.

A new trailer was shown at the Playstation Showcase and the release date was announced: July 4, 2023. The studio also revealed some story details.

Synapse will be released exclusively for Playstation VR 2.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2.

The first VR game was a huge success. Now comes the sequel, which is improved in every way, introducing new mini-games, locations, stories and animatronics.

The VR game will be released in late 2023. It is currently unclear if and for which other VR platforms the horror game will be launched.

Crossfire: Sierra Squad

There was new information about the already announced arcade FPS.

You become the leader of a paramilitary unit and have to fight your way through 13 missions with your team, the Sierra Squad. The VR game features single player, co-op and horde modes. You can try out the 39 different weapons on a firing range before going into battle.

Crossfire: Sierra Squad will be released this summer exclusively for Playstation VR 2.

Cosmodread

The insanely good, insanely scary horror Roguelite is out today for Playstation VR 2.
